Removal
1. Drain the engine oil from the engine.
2. Remove the front muffler with the downpipe.
3. Remove the exhaust manifold with the catalytic converter
4. Loosen the oil pan mounting screws, insert a suitable flat blade between the pan and the cylinder block and remove the pan.
Installation
5. Use a flat scraper to remove the old sealant from the surface of the pan. Clean the surface of the pan thoroughly.
6. Apply sealant MS 721-10A or TV1217N to the contact surface of the oil pan with the cylinder block.
Caution! When applying sealant, avoid getting it into the pan. To prevent oil leakage, apply sealant to the holes for the mounting bolts. Install the pan within 5 minutes after applying the sealant.
7. Install the oil pan (A). Tighten the oil pan mounting screws evenly in several stages. Tightening torque: 10-12 Nm.
Caution: Do not fill the system with engine oil for at least 30 minutes after installing the pan.
8. Further installation is carried out in reverse order.
