Immobilizer (optional) (Hyundai Accent MC)

0
Immobilizer is an anti-theft device.

The "master key" can be used to open all the car's locks. The key has the M symbol on one side. The "service key" allows you to open only the door locks and the ignition switch. The S symbol is applied to one side of the key.

The «service key» allows you to open only the door locks and the ignition…

The set of keys also includes a tag with the key code number. If necessary, upon presentation of this number, an authorized Hyundai dealer will be able to make duplicate keys for you.

If the anti-theft alarm indicator flashes for more than 5 seconds after turning the ignition key to the ON position, this indicates a malfunction in the system.

In this case, the engine can be started using the emergency start function, using a password. The password is given to the buyer by the dealer when handing over the new car.

To enter each digit of the password, you must turn the key in the ignition switch to the ON position, and then to the OFF position the number of times that corresponds to each digit of the password. To enter the digit 0, you must turn the key 10 times.

Wait 5 seconds and enter the next digit of the password in the specified way.

If the password is entered correctly, turn on the ignition and check if the anti-theft system indicator is on. The engine must be started within 30 seconds.

If the engine stops while driving after an emergency start, you have 8 seconds to restart it without using the emergency start function.

If the emergency start function fails to be activated three times in a row, the next attempt can be repeated no earlier than after 1 hour.

If the engine still fails to start, you should contact an authorized Hyundai dealer.
