Windshield wiper motor (Hyundai Accent LC)

Removal

1. Loosen the nuts and remove the windshield wiper arms.



2. Remove the cover located under the windshield.



3. Remove the wiper motor.



4. Remove the bolts and wiper mechanism.

Installation

5. Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.

Checking the frequency of the windshield wiper

1. Disconnect the connector from the wiper motor.

2. Using additional wires, connect the positive terminal of the battery to contact 6 of the connector, and the negative terminal to contact 3.

3. Make sure the wiper motor is running at low speed.

4. Using additional wires, connect the positive terminal of the battery to contact 6 of the connector, and the negative terminal to contact 2.



5. Make sure the wiper motor is running at high speed.

Checking the automatic stop of the brushes in the initial state

1. Run the engine at low speed.

2. After disconnecting the wire from contact 3 of the connector, stop the engine in any position other than the original one.

3. Connect pins 3 and 5 of the connector.

4. Using additional wires, connect the positive terminal of the battery to contact 6 of the connector, and the negative terminal to contact 1.



5. Check that the wiper motor switches off when the wiper blades are in the home position.
