Attention.
- Use protective coatings to prevent damage to painted surfaces.
- To avoid damage to the cylinder head, wait until the coolant temperature has dropped to room temperature before removing it (20°C).
- When working with the metal gasket, take care not to bend it or damage its contact surfaces.
- Disconnect connectors carefully while holding the connector with your hand to avoid damage.
Note: Label all hoses to ensure wires are not misplaced when reconnecting.
Turn the crankshaft pulley so that the #1 cylinder piston is at top dead center (TDC).
1. Remove the intake and exhaust manifolds.
2. Remove the timing chain.
3. Remove the fuel rail (A).
4. Remove glow plug (A) and disconnect the wiring harness (IN) with plates.
5. Remove the vacuum pump (A) with sealing ring (IN).
6. Insert the dowel pin (IN) into the intermediate gear of the intake camshaft (only for standard power engines).
7. Remove covers (A) camshaft bearings.
Note: Mark the bearing caps so they can be reassembled in their original position and direction.
Attention. If the intake camshaft is removed without the dowel pin in the idler gear, the main gear and idler gear will be deformed. In this case, install the pin into the intake camshaft with the main and idler gears aligned. Then install the camshaft.

8. Remove the intake and exhaust camshafts (A).
9. Remove the holder (A) camshaft.
10. Remove rocker (A) and hydro compensator (IN).
11. Turn away bolts of a head of the block of cylinders and remove a head:
Loosen the side bolt (A) cylinder heads.
Using a 12PT socket wrench, evenly loosen and remove the 10 cylinder head bolts in the sequence shown in the illustration in several passes.
Attention. If the bolts are loosened in the wrong order, the head may be bent or cracked.
Remove head (A) cylinder block from the cylinder block dowel pins and place it on the wooden beams on the workbench.
Attention. Be careful not to damage the contact surfaces of the cylinder head and the block itself.
