Windscreen wipers
The wipers operate with the ignition on as follows:
- \/ - to perform one wiper cycle, move the lever to this position and release.
- 0 - wipers do not work.
- --- - wipers operate intermittently at a constant frequency. Use this mode in drizzle or fog. Turn the knob to change the wiper frequency.
- 1 - normal windshield wiper speed;
- 2 - high speed wiper movement.
Note. If there is a thick layer of snow or ice on the windshield, turn on the heater for about 10 minutes or until the snow and/or ice is removed before using the wipers to ensure they operate normally.
Automatic control (in the presence of)
The rain sensor, located at the top of the windshield, detects the amount of rainfall and controls the frequency of the wipers. The harder it rains, the faster they work. When the rain stops, the wipers stop. To change the wiper frequency, turn the knob (1).
If the wiper switch is set to AUTO, turning the ignition key to the ON position (ON), the wiper will perform one cycle to perform a system self test. When the wiper is not in use, the switch should be in the off position (OFF).
Attention.
- With the ignition on and the wiper control switch in the AUTO position, be careful in the following cases to avoid injury to your hands or other parts of your body.
- Do not touch the top of the windshield where the rain sensor is installed.
- Do not wipe the top of the windshield with a damp or wet cloth.
- Do not press on the windshield.
Attention. When washing the vehicle, set the wiper control switch to the OFF position to disable the automatic wiper function. The windshield wipers may start working and be damaged if the switch is in the AUTO position while washing the vehicle. Do not remove the sensor cover located at the top of the windshield on the passenger side. This may result in damage to system components that will not be covered by the warranty. When starting the vehicle in winter, set the wiper control switch to the OFF position. Otherwise, the wipers may start working and the ice may damage their blades. Always remove snow and ice completely and turn on the heater before operating the windshield wipers.
Windshield washer (front)
With the lever in the OFF position, lightly pull it towards you to apply fluid to the windshield and turn on the wipers for 1-3 cycles. Use this function when the windshield is dirty. The windshield washer and wipers will continue to operate until the lever is released. If the washer does not work, check the fluid level in the washer reservoir. If there is not enough liquid, it is necessary to add a suitable windshield washer fluid to the reservoir, which does not have abrasive properties. The windshield washer reservoir is located at the front of the engine compartment on the passenger side.
Attention. To prevent possible damage to the windshield washer pump, do not operate the windshield washer when there is no fluid in the washer reservoir.
Attention. Do not use the windshield washer in sub-zero temperatures without first heating the windshield with a heater; the aqueous solution may freeze on contact with the windshield and restrict vision.
Attention.
- To prevent damage to the wipers or the windshield, do not operate the wipers when the windshield is dry.
- To prevent damage to the wiper blades, do not allow them to come into contact with gasoline, kerosene, paint thinner or other solvents and do not use these fluids in close proximity to the wiper blades.
- To prevent damage to the wiper arms and other components, do not attempt to move the wipers by hand.
Rear window wiper and washer switch
The rear window wiper and washer switch is located at the end of the windscreen wiper and washer control lever. Turn the switch to the desired position to turn on the windshield wiper and rear window washer.
- V - normal operation of the wiper;
- --- - intermittent wiper operation (in the presence of);
- Oh - the windshield wiper is not working.
Push the stalk away from you to spray fluid through the rear washer and turn on the rear wipers for 1-3 cycles. Windshield washer fluid is sprayed and wiper operation continues until the stalk is released (in the presence of).
