2. Increase the crankshaft speed to 1000±100 rpm.
Note: After checking, reduce engine speed to idle.
3. Using spring scales (A), check the steering wheel turning force (B), turning it one and a half turns in both directions. The control value of the steering wheel turning force on a stationary vehicle: 29 N.

4. When turning the steering wheel, make sure that there are no sudden changes in force.
5. If the steering wheel turning force is increased, perform the following checks and adjustments:
1) Check the ball joints of the tie rod ends and protective boots for cracks or damage.
2) Check the turning moment of the steering gear drive pinion and the ball joints of the steering rod ends.
3) The moment of rotation of the ball joint.
