2. Increase the engine crankshaft speed to 1000±100 min⁻¹.

4. Check that there is no sudden change in steering effort when turning the steering wheel.
5. If the measured force exceeds the required value, perform the following checks:
- check the protective boots of the lower arm ball joints and the tie rod end for damage;
- torque required to rotate the ball joint pin of the tie rod end;.
- the torque that must be applied to turn the lower arm ball joint pin.
