Checking the torque of the ball joint of the steering rod end (Hyundai Getz 1)

1. Using a special tool, disconnect the steering rod end from the steering knuckle.



4. If the torque exceeds the permissible values, replace the tie rod end.

5. If the torque is significantly lower than the allowable value, the ball joint can be used repeatedly as long as it does not jam or have excessive play.
