General information
The steering consists of a steering wheel, a steering column, a steering rack and pinion and steering rods. The steering wheel is mounted on the steering column shaft and transmits the force to the rack and pinion.
On each side, the steering gear rack is connected by a ball joint to the tie rod. Tie rods transmit power through the steering tips and steering knuckles to the front wheels. This steering design is easy to move with no play when turning the steering wheel from lock to lock.
To facilitate turning the steering wheel, a hydraulic power steering is installed, consisting of a power steering pump driven by a belt from the crankshaft, a fluid reservoir, hoses and tubes, and a steering gear.
Safety steering, adjustable in height (angle of inclination) steering column, with rack and pinion steering. The steering gear assembly with steering rods is attached in the engine compartment to the bulkhead shield of the body on brackets using brackets. Fastening is carried out through rubber cushions with nuts on welded bolts.
