Removal
Main muffler
Warning: Make sure the exhaust system is sufficiently cool before removing or inspecting components.
1. Disconnect the main muffler from the center pipe.
2. Remove the rubber mounts and main muffler from the vehicle.
Exhaust intake pipe (including catalytic converter)
1. Separate the exhaust pipe from the center pipe.
2. Remove the exhaust pipe mounting bolts and exhaust manifold mounting nuts.
3. Remove the exhaust pipe from the rubber mounts.
Examination
1. Check mufflers and pipes for corrosion and damage.
2. Check the rubber suspensions for aging and cracks.
Installation
1. Temporarily install the exhaust pipe, center and rear muffler assembly.
2. Securely tighten all connections of the exhaust system components. When moving the vehicle's exhaust system to the sides, make sure that it does not touch the vehicle body.
