2. The catalytic converter is an emission control device. When operating a vehicle equipped with a catalytic converter, observe the following precautions:
- A) During and after engine operation, the exhaust pipe is heated to a high temperature. To avoid fire, do not park the vehicle over flammable materials such as leaves, paper, dry grass, etc
- b) Use only unleaded gasoline.
- V) Do not drive with very low fuel levels in the tank.
- G) Do not let the engine idle for more than 10 minutes.
- d) Do not start the engine by towing the vehicle.
3. Keep the engine in good working condition. Malfunctions in the ignition and fuel supply systems can cause the catalytic converter to overheat.
4. Please observe the following precautions when operating the vehicle:
- A) Avoid inhaling engine exhaust gases, this can lead to unconsciousness or even death, as the gases contain carbon monoxide (colorless, odorless gas).
- b) Periodically check the exhaust system for holes (burnout) or loose fasteners. Check the system immediately if there is abnormal noise in the exhaust sound or if exhaust gases enter the passenger compartment.
- V) Do not run the engine indoors (garage) longer than necessary for entry or exit.
- G) Do not stay for a long time in a parked car with the engine running.
