Brake pad wear warning light (Hyundai Elantra XD)

The front disc brake pads have wear indicators that make a squealing or grinding sound that indicates the brake pads need to be replaced. While the vehicle is moving, this sound may appear and disappear or be constant. It can also be heard when the brake pedal is pressed hard. Worn pads cause accelerated wear of brake discs. Contact your Hyundai dealer immediately.
