Warning:
- Driving with unlocked doors can be dangerous. Before driving (especially if there are children in the car), make sure all doors are securely closed and locked and cannot be accidentally opened from inside the vehicle. This ensures that the doors do not open unexpectedly while the vehicle is in motion. Also, with the correct use of seat belts, locking the doors helps prevent passengers from being thrown out of the car in the event of a traffic accident (accidents).
- Before opening the door, always make sure there is no approaching traffic.
Locking and unlocking the front doors with the key
Doors can be locked and unlocked with a key.
To lock the door, turn the key towards the front of the vehicle, and to unlock it, towards the rear of the vehicle.
Locking the doors from outside the car
The doors can be locked without a key.
To lock the doors from outside the vehicle, move the lock button on the inside of the door to the "LOCK" («locked») so that the button's red label becomes invisible, and close the door.
Note:
- In the presence of a central lock, if the ignition key is not removed from the lock, then the front doors are not locked.
- When locking the door in this way, make sure you do not leave the ignition key in the vehicle.
- To prevent theft of an unattended vehicle, never leave the key in the ignition, roll up the door windows, and lock all doors.
Locking the doors from inside the car
To lock the doors from inside the vehicle, simply close the door and set the lock button to the "LOCK" («locked»). This disables both the interior and exterior door handles.
Note: When the door is locked in this way, the red mark on the lock button is not visible.
Rear door locks for child safety
Your Hyundai vehicle has rear door locks. When the lock is on, it is not possible to unlock the rear doors from the inside. It is recommended to use the lock in all cases when there are small children in the back seat.
To lock the lock, move the lock lever to the position «» and close the door. To unlock the lock, move the lever from the position «» to the starting position.
With the lock locked in this way, the rear doors open from the outside with the handle, as usual.
Central door lock
The central locking switch is located on the driver's door armrest. Locking and unlocking of the locks is done by pressing the switch.
Note:
- Pressing the front of the central locking switch locks all doors. If at the same time one of the doors is not closed, then when it is closed and the switch is pressed, its lock will be disabled
- Pressing the back of the switch unlocks all doors.
- Unlocking and locking the doors with the central lock from outside the car is done by turning the key towards the front or rear of the car.
