Contents: Bringing to a state of readiness ⇓ Signaling ⇓ System shutdown ⇓
This system serves to protect against unauthorized entry into the vehicle. The system has three following states: the first is "Ready", the second is "Alarm" and the third is "Disabled". When the system is triggered, an audible signal is given and the direction indicators are turned on in the hazard warning mode.

Bringing to a state of readiness

Park the car and turn off the engine. Bring the system to a ready state as…

Park the car and turn off the engine. Bring the system to a ready state as follows.
  • 1) Remove the key from the ignition switch.
  • 2) Make sure that the hood and trunk lid (4-door models) / back door (5-door models) blocked.
  • 3) Lock the doors using the remote control door lock transmitter.

After completing the above steps, the direction indicators will flash once, indicating that the system is in the ready state.

Note:
  • 1) If any of the doors, trunk lid (4-door models) / back door (5-door models) or the hood is open, the system will not be brought into readiness.
  • 2) If this happens, take the system out of the ready state as follows.
  • 3) After the system is ready, you can only open the trunk lid (4-door models) without taking the system out of the ready state.

Caution: Do not arm the system until all passengers have left the vehicle. When there are passengers in the car, when they leave the car, an audible alarm (siren) may sound.

Signaling

The alarm system, which is activated when the car is parked, is triggered when:
  • 1) One of the doors and the back door opens (5-door models) without using a transmitter.
  • 2) The trunk lid opens (4-door models) without using a key.
  • 3) The hood opens.

In these cases, the sound alarm (siren) will sound and the direction indicators will flash continuously for 30 seconds. (For EU countries only / Non-EU countries: this can happen 3 times). To turn off the system, unlock the side doors or the rear door (5-door models) using a transmitter.

Warning: Do not attempt to start the engine when the alarm is armed.

System shutdown

The system will be disabled in one of the following cases:

The system will be disabled in one of the following cases:
  • When the driver's or front passenger's door is unlocked by pressing the "UNLOCK" button on the transmitter.
  • After this, the direction indicators will flash twice, indicating that the system is deactivated.

Note: After the system is turned off, it can be brought into the ready state only by performing the above operations to bring the anti-theft system into the alarm state.

Note: The system can only be switched off using the transmitter. If the transmitter does not work when the anti-theft system is in the ready state, the following measures must be taken;
  • 1. Open the door with the key. In this case, an audible alarm (siren) will sound.
  • 2. Insert the key into the ignition switch and turn it to the "ON" position.
  • 3. Wait 30 seconds.
  • After this, the system will be disabled.
