Tightening torque: Nm
Removal
1. Raise the front of the vehicle with a jack.
2. Remove the wheel and tire.
3. Disconnect the brake hose and pipe bracket from the strut assembly.

4. Remove the strut assembly from the knuckle and wheel body.
5. When disconnecting the rod and steering knuckle, jack up the lower arm.
Tie the brake hose, brake line, front wheel speed sensor wiring and drive shaft to the steering knuckle with a tie to prevent damage.

Disassembly
1. Remove the mudguard cover using a flat-blade screwdriver.
2. Support the upper spring seat with the special tool and loosen the lock nut.
Warning. The lock nut should only be loosened, not removed.
3. Compress the spring with a special tool.
4. Remove the lock nut from the strut assembly.

Examination
1. Check the upper insulator bearing for wear and corrosion.
2. Check rubber parts for wear and damage.
3. Check the spring for deformation, wear and damage.
Assembly
1. Install the lower spring pad so that the pins align with the holes in the lower spring support.

2. Attach the special tool to the spring, then compress it on the stand.
3. Join the mudguard and the rubber elastic element.

4. Assemble the upper spring seat onto the strut piston rod by aligning the D-shaped hole in the spring seat with the slot in the rod.

5. Align the holes on the upper and lower spring supports.

Note: This work is best done using guide pins of diameter 1.5 mm. 8 mm and 227 mm long.
6. Thread the lock nut onto the strut assembly.
7. Align the two ends of the spring with the grooves on the supports.
8. Using the special tool, hold the upper spring seat and tighten the lock nut to the specified torque.

The tightening torque of the spring seat on the piston rod is 60-70 Nm
9. Apply grease to the upper strut bearing and install the cover.

Warning. Be careful not to let any grease come into contact with the insulating rubber.
Recommended Lubricant - SAE J310a, Chassis Grease (NLGI #2 or equivalent)
Installation
1. When installing the spacer, the interacting surfaces must be clean.
2. Tighten the following parts to the specified torque.
Tightening torque - Nm
- Upper mounting nut to spacer - 40-50
- Strut assembly to fist - 110-130
3. Install the brake hose and wheel speed sensor wiring to the strut assembly.
