1 – bolt, 15–20 Nm; 2 – coolant temperature sensor; 3 – gasket; 4 – thermostat housing; 5 – thermostat; 6 – gasket; 7 – coolant outlet fitting.
Removal
1. Drain the coolant to a level below the thermostat.
2. Remove the coolant outlet fitting and gasket.
3. Remove the thermostat.

4. Hang the thermostat on a thread in a transparent vessel with water. Insert a thermometer into the water, heat the vessel with water and observe the thermostat valve. Determine the temperature of the beginning of opening and full opening of the thermostat valve.
- Thermostat valve opening temperature: 82°C.
- Full opening temperature of the thermostat valve: 95°C.
- Thermostat valve stroke: 8.0 mm
Installation
1. Install the thermostat so that the air bleed valve is correctly positioned in the socket. If the thermostat is not installed in the correct position, its operation may be impaired.
2. Install a new gasket and coolant outlet fitting.
3. Fill the cooling system with the required amount of the required coolant. Start the engine and check for leaks from the cooling system.
