Removal
1. Remove the instrument panel.
2. Disconnect the connectors from the fan motor and resistor block.
3. Unscrew the nuts and remove the evaporator unit.
4. Remove the 3 nuts (or bolts) securing the fan bracket.
5. Remove the fan assembly.

1. Disconnect the fan motor cooling pipe.
2. Remove the three screws and remove the fan motor.
3. Release the fasteners securing the air intake to the upper fan housing.
4. Remove the air intake.
5. Using a flat-head screwdriver, release the six fasteners and separate the upper and lower fan housings.
6. Remove the two screws and the fan resistor.
7. Assembly is carried out in the reverse order of disassembly.
Checking the fan motor
Use additional wires to apply voltage from the battery to the contacts and connector of the fan motor. If the fan motor rotates, it is working properly.
