Removal and installation
Caution: Do not spill brake fluid on the car surface. This may damage the paintwork. Rinse it off immediately with plenty of water.
1. Remove the cotter pin (A) and washer (B), then disconnect the piston rod from the master cylinder.

2. Remove the flexible hose (A) connected to the brake system expansion tank.

6-speed manual transmission
3. Disconnect the clutch line (B) from the master cylinder.
4. Remove the clutch master cylinder (A) by turning it clockwise.

5. Perform installation in reverse order.
Note: Perform the system bleeding procedure.

Removal
Caution: Do not spill brake fluid on the car surface. This may damage the paintwork. Rinse it off immediately with plenty of water.
1. Remove the brake fluid from the clutch master cylinder expansion tank using a syringe.
2. Install the clamp on the clutch master cylinder hose (A). If there is not enough space to install the clamp, it can be installed on the brake master cylinder side.
3. Loosen the nut on the clutch master cylinder and disconnect the clutch master line (B).
5-speed manual transmission
6-speed manual transmission
4. Disconnect the ignition switch connector (B) and the clutch pedal position sensor connector (A).
5. Remove the 3 nuts (C) and bolt (D) securing the clutch pedal assembly.
6. Remove the clutch pedal and master cylinder assembly.
Note: Tightening torque: 16.7-25.5 Nm

7. Install in reverse order.
Note:
The clutch pedal and clutch master cylinder are supplied as a single unit.
Check continuity between the ignition switch and the clutch pedal.
Remove air from the concentric working cylinder.
Checking the technical condition
Ignition switch
1. Disconnect the two-pin connector from the ignition switch.
2. Disconnect the ignition switch. (If you can connect the tester without disconnecting the ignition switch, you can skip this step.)
3. Check the continuity of the circuit between the terminals (see table below).
Note:
If the measurement results differ from the data specified in the table, replace the ignition switch.
If the measurement results match, reinstall the ignition switch and adjust the clutch pedal.

Clutch pedal
1. Check the clutch pedal and bushings for wear.
2. Check the clutch pedal for deformation.
3. Check the return spring for damage or deformation.
