Replacement
1. Turn the ignition key to the OFF position and disconnect the negative (-) cable from the battery.
2. Remove the electronic control module (ECM).
3. Disconnect the water sensor connector (C), the heater connector (B), and the temperature sensor connector (A).
4. Disconnect the quick-connect fitting (D) of the fuel inlet pipe and the quick-connect fitting (E) of the fuel outlet pipe.

5. Loosen the fuel filter mounting nuts, then remove the fuel filter (A) from the vehicle.

6. Loosen the nuts (A) of the bracket, then remove the fuel filter assembly from the bracket.
7. Remove the water sensor (B).

8. After removing the fuel filter (A), replace it with a new one, then install the fuel filter assembly in the reverse order.

Caution: When replacing the fuel filter, the sealing ring must also be replaced.
9. Start the engine and check the low pressure fuel circuit and fuel pump for leaks.
Note: Tightening torque:
- Fuel filter bracket mounting nut: 9.8 - 12.8 Nm.
- Fuel filter mounting nut: 9.8 -12.8 Nm.
