Anchor pretensioner (Hyundai Tucson LM)

Removal

1. Before starting work, disconnect the negative battery cable and wait at least three minutes.

2. Press the locking pin (A) and remove the seat belt.



3. Remove the following parts:

A. Door anti-scuff strip.

B. Central pillar trim.

4. Disconnect the anchor pretensioner connector.



5. Remove the pretensioner by unscrewing the mounting bolt.

Installation

1. Remove the ignition key from the lock.

2. Disconnect the negative battery cable and wait at least three minutes.

3. Install the anchor pretensioner and tighten the bolt.

Note: Tightening torque: 39.2 - 53.9 Nm.

4. Connect the anchor pretensioner connector.

5. Install the following parts:

A. Central pillar trim.

B. Door anti-scuff strip.

6. Insert the seat belt into the anchor pretensioner.

Note: Check that the locking pin is installed correctly.

7. Connect the negative battery cable.

8. After installing the anchor pretensioner, check that it functions correctly.

Turn the ignition switch to the "ON" position, the SRS indicator light should come on for approximately 6 seconds and then go out.
