Triggered inside the vehicle
Before disposing of a vehicle equipped with airbags, deploy the airbags inside the vehicle. The front and side airbags, as well as other components of the system, must not be reused in any case in other vehicles.
1. Turn the ignition switch to the "OFF" position, disconnect the negative (-) battery terminal and wait at least three minutes.
2. Make sure the front and side airbags are installed properly.
3. Make sure the special tool functions properly before performing the following procedures.
Driver's airbag:
1. Remove the driver's airbag and install the special tool (0957A-38500).
2. Install the driver's airbag into the steering wheel.
Front passenger airbag:
1. Remove the glove box, then disconnect the two-pin connector located between the front passenger air bag and the SRS main cable.
2. Install the special tool (0957A-38500).
Side airbag:
1. Disconnect the two-pin connector located between the side airbag and the side wire harness.
2. Install the special device (0957A-3F100).
Air curtains:
1. Disconnect the two-pin connector located between the curtain airbag and the wiring harness.
2. Install the special tool (0957A-38500).
Seat belt pretensioner and anchor pretensioner:
1. Disconnect the two-pin connector from the pretensioner.
2. Install the special tool (0957A-38500).
General operations
4. Position the deployment device at least 10 meters away from the airbags.

5. Connect the 12V battery to the device.
6. Activate the actuator of the device by moving the switch to the appropriate position. The airbags should then deploy (at this time, a distinct sound is heard: a loud noise and instant inflation of the airbags, followed by their slow deflating).
7. Place the deployed air bag module in a heavy-duty vinyl bag and seal the bag tightly.
