Remote opening of the trunk lid lock
To open the trunk lid without using the key, pull the trunk lid lock actuator lever. To close the trunk lid, lower it and then press it down until it locks into place. To make sure the trunk lid is securely fastened, try lifting it again.
Warning: The trunk lid must always be completely closed while the vehicle is moving. If it is open or slightly open, toxic exhaust gases may enter the vehicle interior, which may cause serious illness or death.
To unlock the lock using a key
To open the trunk lid, insert the key into the lock and turn it clockwise. When the trunk lid is opened, the luggage compartment light comes on.
Emergency opening of the trunk lid lock
Note:
- If someone is locked in the luggage compartment, they can open the lock from the inside by pulling the red lever on the lock cover.
