Fixed stem antenna
Your vehicle uses a fixed shaft antenna to receive AM and FM signals. This is a detachable antenna. To remove it, turn it counterclockwise. To install it, turn it clockwise.
Attention:
- Always remove the antenna before washing the car in an automatic car wash, otherwise it may be damaged.
- When installing the antenna, tighten it tightly, this is important for good radio reception.
Retractable Antenna
Your vehicle uses a retractable stainless steel antenna to receive AM and FM signals. Pull out the antenna with your hands as shown in the figure.
Note: Always fold down the antenna before washing the car in an automatic car wash or entering a low-ceilinged area.
Motorized Antenna
The antenna will automatically extend when the radio is powered on with the ignition key in the «ON» («Wcp») or «ACC» («Optional equipment»). The antenna will automatically retract either when the radio power is turned off or when the ignition key is turned to the «LOCK» («blocking»).
Note:
- Before turning on the radio, make sure that no one is near the antenna.
- Before washing the car in an automatic car wash or entering a low-ceilinged area, make sure the antenna is folded down.
- If the antenna is dirty, clean it to avoid damage.
Glass antenna
When the radio is powered on and the ignition key is in the «ON» («On») or «ACC» («Optional equipment») reception of signals in the AM and FM bands will be carried out using the antenna located on the rear window.
Attention:
- Do not use abrasive cleaners or a scraper to clean the inside of the rear window, as this may damage the antenna's sensitive elements.
- Avoid adding metal coatings such as Ni, Cd, etc. This may degrade AM and FM reception.
