There are three types of vehicle maintenance:
  • Periodic maintenance
  • General check
  • Do-it-yourself routine maintenance

Periodic maintenance

The following maintenance operations are necessary to ensure good handling and driving characteristics of the vehicle. To maintain the warranty, keep receipts confirming the performance of all types of maintenance. If the warranty covers both the mileage of the vehicle and the period of its use, the frequency of maintenance is determined by the first of the due dates.

During periodic maintenance, fast-wearing parts and consumables are checked, adjusted and replaced. To maintain the validity of the vehicle warranty, these operations must be performed at the required frequency. It is strongly recommended that they be performed at a Hyundai dealer by mechanics trained at the factory or in the distribution network.

For all types of repairs and replacements, it is recommended to use genuine Hyundai spare parts. The use of certain materials and parts of equivalent quality (motor oils, coolants, oils for manual or automatic transmissions, brake fluid, etc.) that are not supplied by Hyundai and its distribution network does not void vehicle warranties. However, the quality of these materials and parts must be equivalent to the quality of genuine Hyundai materials and parts.

General check

A general routine check of the vehicle is carried out during its operation or when filling the fuel tank.

Do-it-yourself routine maintenance

If you have technical skills, a few necessary tools and equipment, and time, you can perform some of the inspection and maintenance operations yourself.

After each maintenance of the vehicle, put the copies of the documents issued to you on its performance in the glove box. This is necessary for documentary confirmation of the timely performance of the required maintenance and to maintain the guarantees. This is especially important if the maintenance is not performed at an authorized Hyundai dealer.

Periodic maintenance requirements

If any faults are detected or suspected, the appropriate checks must be performed. In order to maintain the warranty on all emission control systems, receipts for their maintenance must be kept.
