Proper handling of compact discs

Take the disk as shown in the picture. Don't drop it. Handle the disc so as not to leave fingerprints on its surface. If there are scratches on the surface, skipping of records may occur. Do not stick tape, paper, or self-adhesive labels on the disc. Do not write on the disc.
Damaged disks
Do not attempt to play damaged, warped or cracked discs. This may cause serious damage to the playback mechanism.
Storage of disks
When not in use, place discs in separate cases and store them in a cool place away from direct sunlight, high temperatures and dust.
Do not grasp or pull the disc while it is being pulled into the player by the self-loading mechanism.
Keep your discs clean

Fingerprints, dust or dirt on the disc surface may cause skipping of records.
Wipe the discs with a clean soft cloth as shown in the illustration. If the disc is heavily soiled, wipe it with a damp, clean cloth soaked in a neutral detergent solution.
