Checking the engine oil level (Hyundai Elantra J2)

1. Place the vehicle on a level, horizontal surface.

2. Warm up the engine.

Note: If the vehicle is not being serviced for a long time, warm up the engine for approximately 20 minutes.

3. Stop the engine and wait 2-3 minutes, then check the oil level after it drains into the pan.

4. Check the oil level. It should be within the gap indicated by the marks on the dipstick. If the oil level is below the "MIN" mark, add oil up to the "MAX" mark.
