When checking and assembling, wash all parts with solvent and dry with compressed air.

Lubricate the seals with clean transmission oil and the thrust bearings with petroleum jelly. Do not flush seals or thrust bearings with solvent when reusing them.

Before screwing into aluminum parts, bolts should be dipped in clean transmission oil. In this case, it is also permissible to use an anti-seize compound. Use torque wrenches to avoid stripping threads. The outer retaining rings should be spread apart and the inner ones should be brought together if they are to be reused.
