General description of the lighting system (Hyundai Elantra J1)

The lighting system includes: headlights, taillights, brake lights, reversing lights, direction indicators, fog lights and rear fog lights, license plate lighting, engine compartment lighting and interior lighting.

Regular lamps (non halogen) are replaced approximately every 2 years, even if they have not yet burned out. Reduced lamp brightness is recognized by black deposits on the glass bulb.
