Intake flap actuator (Hyundai Tucson LM)

Checking the technical condition

1. Turn off the ignition.

2. Disconnect the intake valve actuator connector.

3. Verify that when 12V is applied to terminal 3 and ground is applied to terminal 4, the actuator moves to the recirculation position.

4. When the polarity is changed, the intake flap drive should move to the outside air intake position.

5. Check the voltage between terminals 6 and 7.



If the intake valve drive is faulty, replace it with a known good one and check for proper operation.



6. If the problem disappears, replace the intake valve actuator.

Replacement

1. Perform steps 10-16 in the "Replacing the Temperature Control Actuator" section of this chapter.

2. Disconnect the intake valve actuator connector (A).

3. Loosen the fastening screw and remove the intake flap drive (B).



4. Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.
