1. Start the engine and let it run until the coolant temperature reaches 80-95°C.
2. Check the ignition timing and idle speed and adjust them if necessary.
3. Disconnect the air supply hose.
4. Remove the valve cover.
5. Remove the front timing belt cover.
6. Turn the shaft clockwise and align the timing mark with the mark on the camshaft toothed pulley.

7. While holding the rocker arm adjusting screw from turning with a screwdriver, tighten the lock nut.

8. Turn the crankshaft clockwise a full revolution (360°).
9. Check that the specified intake valve clearance is within the specified limits.
10. Repeat steps 8 and 9 to adjust the clearances of the remaining valves.
