2. Turn off the engine.
Note: If the vehicle has not been used for a long time, let the engine run for a few minutes before checking the oil level, then turn off the engine and wait a few minutes.
3. Make sure that the engine oil level is within the limits indicated on the dipstick. If the oil level drops below the "minimum" mark, add oil to the engine.
Warning: When adding oil, use the same type of oil as the engine.
4. Make sure the oil is not significantly contaminated, is not mixed with coolant or gasoline, and has the correct viscosity.
