All Hyundai Motor Company engines are equipped with high-quality full-flow oil filters with replaceable filter elements. The quality of replacement filters varies greatly. To ensure the most effective service, only high-quality ones should be used. Before installation, make sure that the rubber gasket of the old filter is removed.
Replacing the oil filter
1. Use a filter wrench to remove the oil filter.
2. Before installing the oil filter on the engine, apply engine oil to the gasket surface, but do not allow oil to come out of the crankcase.
3. Then tighten the oil filter.
4. Start the engine and check for oil leaks.
5. After turning off the engine, check the oil level and top up if necessary.
