1) Fill the compressor with oil, stop the engine, drain the refrigerant and remove the compressor from the vehicle.
2) Drain the oil through the drain fitting of the system.
Note. Draining oil from a cold compressor is difficult. Before draining the oil, warm up the compressor to approximately 4-50°C.
3) Determine the amount of drained oil. If it is less than 70 cm3, this indicates a small oil leak. Check the tightness of all connections in the system, repair the leak or, if necessary, replace defective parts.
4) Check the oil for contamination and restore its level to normal.
A. With no contaminants in the oil.
B. If the oil is contaminated, clean the water separator after changing the oil.
