The fuel pressure in the accumulator is maintained at the required level by the pressure regulating valve.
The pressure regulating valve performs the same function as the excess pressure valve. In case of excess pressure, the valve opens, limiting the pressure in the accumulator. If the pressure is lower than required, the valve closes and hermetically separates the low pressure section from the high pressure section of the injection system.
Checking the valve
Check the valve resistance. Resistance: 2.07–2.53 Ohm.
Valve replacement
If the valve output voltage is not as required, replace the valve. Tightening torque: 5±1 Nm.
