To adjust the direction of the headlight beam depending on the number of passengers and the weight of the cargo carried by the vehicle, turn the headlight corrector switch. The higher the position number of the headlight range control switch, the lower the beam of light from the headlights will be directed. Always use the headlight range control switch to adjust the distance illuminated by the headlights (when the low beam is on) in such a way as not to blind oncoming drivers. Below are examples of correct headlight beam adjustment. Under vehicle loading conditions other than those listed below, set the switch to the position that most closely matches the descriptions in the table.
| Loading the car | Headlight range control switch position |
| Driver only | "0" |
| Driver + 1 front passenger | "0" |
| All passengers (including the driver) | "1" |
| All passengers (including the driver) + full trunk load (or towing a trailer that is not fully loaded) | "2" |
| Driver + full trunk load (or towing a fully loaded trailer) | "3" |
