Turn signal switch
Moving the switch lever from the middle position down turns on the left turn indicators, and moving the lever up turns on the right turn indicators. When the turn is completed, the switch lever automatically returns to the middle position and the direction indicators turn off. If one of the turn signal warning lamps flashes rapidly, or lights up but does not flash, or does not light up at all, this indicates a fault in the turn signal circuits. Check the system for a blown fuse or blown bulb, or contact your Hyundai dealer.
To signal a lane change, move the switch lever up or down until the direction indicators start flashing. When released, the lever will automatically return to the middle position.
Outdoor light switch
Outdoor lighting devices are turned on by rotating the drum switch. When the switch is turned to the first fixed position, the position light, parking light, rear lights and instrument cluster illumination are switched on. Turning to the second position turns on the low beam headlights.
Note. Outdoor lighting is switched on when position «ON» («Ignition») key in the ignition.
Auto off parking light
If you have not switched off the parking light at the end of your journey, it will automatically turn off when you open the driver's door.
To turn on the parking light, just turn the ignition key to position «ON».
Daytime traffic light (optional equipment)
Your Hyundai vehicle is equipped with a daytime running light system that improves your vehicle's visibility to oncoming drivers. The head light is always on when the engine is running, although the head light switch may be in the «OFF» («OFF»). The daytime running light turns off when the parking brake is applied.
High Beam Switch
To turn on the high beam headlights, move the switch lever forward (Push). At the same time, the control lamp for switching on the main beam lights up. To switch the headlights to low beam, move the switch lever towards you.
High beam signaling
To signal high beam headlights, move the light switch lever along the steering column towards you and release it. High-beam signaling is also provided when the outside lighting is off.
Automatic switching on of outdoor lighting (optional equipment)
To automatically turn on the outdoor lighting, turn the drum switch of the outdoor lighting switch lever to the position «A11TO». At the same time, the headlight and rear lights turn on automatically depending on the ambient light.
Windshield and rear window wiper and washer switch
The windshield wiper switch has three positions:
- 1. Intermittent operation («INT»)
- 2. Continuous mode with low speed («LOW»)
- 3. Continuous mode with high speed («NI»)
Note. To prevent damage to the wiper, do not attempt to remove thick layers of snow or ice from the glass with the wiper. Snow or ice in this amount should be removed manually. To remove a thin layer of snow or ice, turn on the interior heater to defrost the glass and do not turn on the wiper until the snow or ice has melted.
Switching on the windshield washer
To turn on the windshield washer, push the wiper/washer switch lever towards the steering wheel. When you turn on the washer, the wiper automatically turns on for two strokes of the brushes. The washer operates until the switch lever is released.
Note:
- Do not turn on the washer for more than 15 seconds and with an empty washer reservoir.
- Before turning on the windshield wiper in frosty weather, make sure that the wipers are not frozen to the glass.
- In areas with frosty winters, pour anti-freeze fluid into the washer reservoir in winter.
Switching on the wiper for one stroke of the brushes (position «MIST»)
If it is necessary to turn on the wiper for one stroke of the brushes, for example, to clean the glass that is fogged up on the outside, press the switch lever up.
Adjusting the frequency of movement of the wiper blades in intermittent mode
To turn on the wiper in intermittent mode, set the switch to position «INT» («intermittent mode»). In this position, the interval between brush movements can be changed from 1 to 18 seconds by turning the interval drum switch to the appropriate position. The frequency of movement of the brushes also automatically changes depending on the speed of movement.
Rear window cleaner and washer (optional equipment)
The duration of continuous operation of the washer should not exceed 15 seconds. Do not turn on the washer if there is no liquid in its tank: - the system may fail. Do not allow the cleaner to work on dry glass: this will cause scratches on the glass and accelerated wear of the brushes.
