Removal

1. Remove the front seat belt lower mounting bolt and use a flat-head screwdriver to lift up and remove the B-pillar trim. Tightening torque: 40–55 Nm.

2. Remove the front seat belt upper mounting bolt. Tightening torque: 40–55 Nm.

3. If the vehicle is equipped with seat belt pretensioners, disconnect the cable from the negative battery terminal, disconnect the connector from the inflator, and remove the seat belt pretensioner.
Installation
4. Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.
- 1. The seat belt pretensioner module operates only once.
- 2. Do not disassemble or repair the seat belt pretensioner module.
- 3. Do not drop the seat belt pretensioner module or allow it to come into contact with water, grease, etc. If dents, cracks, deformation, or corrosion are found, replace the module.
- 4. Connect the cable to the negative battery terminal only after the seat belt pretensioner module is correctly installed.
- 5. Removing the seat belt pretensioner module:
- - Make sure the ignition is off.
- - Disconnect the cable from the negative battery terminal and make sure it does not touch the body.
- - Wait 1 minute.
- - Disconnect the electrical connector from the gas generator.
- - Remove the bolt and seat belt pretensioner module.
