Attention:
- Place the shoulder portion of the belt so that it does not pass under your armpit or in any other incorrect position.
- Make sure that the seat belt is not twisted.
- The belt provides the greatest protection when the seatback is in an upright position. When the seatback is reclined, there is an increased risk that the occupant will slide out from under the belt, especially in a frontal collision, and be injured by the belt or by striking the dashboard or seatback.
2. To fasten the belt, slowly pull the belt out, holding it by the bar. Insert the bar into the latch until you hear a click.
Note: If the belt is blocked and does not come out of the reel, pull the belt firmly and then release it. Then slowly pull the belt out again.

3. Pull the belt slightly to adjust the desired tension.
Warning: Pregnant women are advised to use the available seat belts after consulting with a doctor. This will reduce the risk of injury to both the woman and her unborn child. The lap belt should be positioned as low as possible under the belly.

4. To unfasten the belt, hold the bar and press the button in the buckle.
Note: Since the belt retracts automatically, hold it by the bar so that the belt does not retract too quickly. Otherwise, you may damage the car.

5. Front seat belt extender.
The front seat belt extender is only used when the standard belt is not long enough to fasten.
Caution: Do not use the extender if the standard belt is long enough to fasten, as this will reduce the effectiveness of the seat belt.

Adjusting the front seat belt anchor point
The height of the seat belt anchor point can be adjusted as follows.
- a) While holding the locking button pressed, move the seat belt anchorage unit downwards to the position that is most suitable for you and release the button.
- b) To move the seat belt anchorage unit upward, move it without pressing the locking button.
- c) After adjustment, you should hear a click and make sure that the seat belt fastening unit is securely fixed.
- Caution: When adjusting the position of the belt anchor point, position it high enough so that the belt makes full contact with your shoulder but does not touch your neck.

Installing child seats
1. When transporting children in your vehicle, you should always use restraining devices (child seats) of one type or another, depending on the weight and age of the child.
Attention:
- It is recommended to transport children only in the second row seat and to use special child seats for transportation.
- Holding a child in your arms is not a substitute for a special restraint device (child seat).
2. Precautions for installing child seats in vehicles with a front passenger airbag (SRS).
Please note: Vehicles equipped with a passenger airbag are provided with a warning label.

- a) Do not install a child seat in a rear-facing position on the front passenger seat in front of the air bag. The force of the passenger air bag deployment may force the child seat against the seatback, causing serious injury.
- b) A forward-facing child seat must be installed in the rear seat of the vehicle.
- c) When installing a child seat in the front seat of the vehicle, move the front seat to the rearmost position.

3. Recommendations for transporting infants and young children.
- a) For infants of such a size that the shoulder belt contacts the face or neck when seated, a baby bassinet should be used instead of a child seat. For younger children, a child seat should be used.
- b) The child restraint system (child seat) must be appropriate for the weight and height of your child and must be correctly installed in the vehicle.
- c) When installing a child seat, follow the instructions provided by the manufacturer of the device. Failure to follow these instructions may result in serious or fatal injury to your child.
- d) When the child seat is not in use, secure it with the seat belt or remove it from the vehicle to prevent it from accidentally injuring your child.
Note: Before purchasing a child seat, check to see if it fits securely in the rear seat. Sometimes the seat belt buckles located on the seat cushion can make it difficult to install some types of child seats securely. If the child seat can be moved forward on the seat cushion after the belt is tightened, choose a different child seat.

Note: For some child seats, the usual fastening with seat belts may not be sufficient. In this case, use a special belt buckle, which will additionally hold the child seat. Install the special buckle in accordance with the instructions of the child seat manufacturer.

4. Special attachment for a child seat.
- a) The car may be equipped with 3 special anchorages behind the rear seat, to which a child seat can be secured with short straps.
- b) To install the child seat, follow these steps:
- Open the child seat mounting covers as shown in the illustration.
- Secure the child seat with a belt to the special fastening as shown in the figure.

5. Special ISOFIX fastenings for a child seat.
- a) When using a child seat with this mechanism, greater safety is achieved, as well as faster and easier installation of the child seat compared to other child seats.
Note: The child seat to be installed must comply with the ECE-R44 standard. However, before installing the ISOFIX child seat for the first time, it is recommended to consult with an authorized HYUNDAI dealer.
- b) Special brackets (brackets) are located in pairs under the backrests of the side seats of the rear seat. For ease of use, the locations are marked with special marks on the seat upholstery.
- c) To install the seat, insert the child seat bracket connectors into the lower mounts (brackets) until you hear a characteristic click of the connector lock. Secure the seat with a short strap (upper mount) to the special mount behind the rear seat.

Warning: Do not attempt to secure the ISOFIX child seat in the centre of the rear seat or with less than three points of attachment, as this could result in serious injury to the child if the attachments are subject to significant load.
1 - child seat bracket connector, 2 - lower mount, 3 - rear seat back, 4 - rear seat cushion, 5 - special bracket.
Teenagers
Children who are no longer fit in a child seat should be seated in the back seat and wear a combination lap and shoulder belt. The lap portion of the belt should fit snugly around the child's hips. Otherwise, in a crash, the belt could cut into the child's abdomen and injure the child.
Warning: Children who are not wearing seat belts may be thrown from the vehicle in the event of an accident.
