Attention:
- Fit the shoulder part of the belt so that it does not pass under your armpit or be in any other incorrect position.
- Make sure that the seat belt is not twisted.
- The belt provides the most protection when the seatback is in the upright position. When the backrest is reclined, there is an increased risk that the occupant will slip out from under the belt, especially in a frontal collision, and be injured by the belt or by hitting the dashboard or seatback.
2. To fasten the belt, slowly pull out the belt, holding it by the bar. Insert the bar into the latch until you hear a click.
Note: If the belt is blocked and does not come out of the spool, pull the belt hard and then release it. Then slowly pull the belt out again.
3. Pull the belt out slightly to adjust the desired tension.
Caution: Pregnant women are advised to use their seat belts after consulting a doctor. This will reduce the likelihood of injury to both the woman herself and her unborn child. The waist belt should be positioned as low as possible under the abdomen.
4. To unfasten the strap, while holding the bar, press the button in the buckle.
Note: Since the belt retracts automatically, hold it by the bar so that the belt does not retract too quickly. Otherwise, you may damage the vehicle.
5. Front seat belt extension.
The front seat belt extension is used only when the standard seat belt is not long enough to buckle.
Caution: Do not use an extension if the standard strap is long enough to fasten, as this will reduce the effectiveness of the seat belt.
Front Seat Belt Anchor Adjustment
The height of the seat belt attachment point can be adjusted as follows.
- A) While holding the lock button down, move the seat belt anchor down to the position that best suits you and release the button.
- b) To move the seat belt anchor upward, move it without pressing the lock button.
- V) After adjustment, you should hear a click and make sure that the seat belt anchor is securely in place.
- Attention: when adjusting the anchorage point of the belt, position it high enough so that the belt is in full contact with your shoulder, but does not touch your neck.
Installing child seats
1. When transporting children in your car, always use child restraints (child seats) of one type or another, depending on the weight and age of the child.
Attention:
- It is recommended to transport children only in the second row seat and use special child seats for transportation.
- Holding a child in your arms will not replace a special restraint (child seat).
2. Precautions when installing child seats on vehicles with an airbag (SRS) front passenger.
Attention: Vehicles equipped with a passenger airbag have a warning label attached to it.
- A) Do not install a child seat on a front passenger seat that has an airbag in front of it, facing backwards. The force of the passenger's airbag deployment may press the child seat against the seatback, resulting in serious injury.
- b) A forward facing child seat must be installed in the rear seat of the vehicle.
- V) When installing a child seat in the front seat of a vehicle, move the front seat to the rearmost position.
3. Recommendations when transporting infants and young children.
- A) For infants of such a size that the shoulder belt comes into contact with the face or neck when seated, a carrycot should be used instead of the child seat. For younger children, a child seat must be used.
- b) holding device (child seat) for children must be appropriate for the weight and height of your child and must be properly installed in the vehicle.
- V) When installing a child seat, follow the instructions provided by the manufacturer of the device. Failure to follow these instructions could result in serious or even fatal injury to your child.
- G) When not in use, secure the child seat with the seat belt or remove it from the vehicle so that it does not inadvertently injure your child.
Note: Before purchasing a child seat, check that it fits securely in the rear seat. Sometimes seat belt buckles located on the seat cushion can make it difficult to securely install certain types of child seats. If the child seat can be moved forward on the seat cushion after tightening its belt, select a different child seat.
Attention: For some child seats, the normal fastening of the seat belts may not be sufficient. In this case, use a special belt buckle that will additionally hold the child seat. Install the special buckle in accordance with the child seat manufacturer's instructions.
4. Special fastening for a child seat.
- A) The car can be equipped with 3 special anchorages behind the rear seat, to which a child seat can be fastened with short straps.
- b) To install a child seat, follow these steps:
- Open the child seat attachment covers as shown in the illustration.
- Fasten the child seat with a belt to the special fastening, as shown in the figure.

Note: The child seat to be installed must comply with the ECE-R44 standard. However, before installing the child seat for the first time "ISOFIX" It is recommended to consult an authorized HYUNDAI dealer.
- b) Special brackets (staples) located in pairs under the backs of the side seats of the rear seat. For ease of use, the locations are marked with special marks on the seat upholstery.
- V) To install the seat, insert the connectors of the child seat brackets into the lower anchorages (staples) until the characteristic click of the connector lock is activated. Fasten with a short strap (top mount) seat for a special mount behind the rear seat.
Caution: do not attempt to secure the child seat "ISOFIX" in the center of the rear seat, or by securing the seat at less than three points, as this could result in serious injury to the child if the anchorages are heavily loaded.
1 - child seat bracket connector, 2 - bottom mount, 3 - rear seat backrest, 4 - rear seat cushion, 5 - special bracket.
Teenagers
Children who are no longer suitable for a child seat must sit in the rear seat and wear the combined lap/shoulder belt. The waist part of the belt should tightly cover the hips of the child. Otherwise, in the event of an accident, the belt may cut into the stomach and cause injury to the child.
Attention: children not wearing seat belts can be thrown out of the car in the event of a traffic accident.
