2. The SRS airbag system is not a substitute for seat belts, therefore, for maximum protection against any accidents and accidents, all occupants of the vehicle must wear seat belts.
Attention:
- The seat belt pretensioner only activates in a severe frontal impact, instantly retracting the belt. This ensures a secure fixation of a person on the seat and increases the efficiency of the front airbag.
- The front airbags are not designed to deploy in a low speed collision, a rollover, or a side or rear impact.
3. The driver and front passenger should be aware that if they are in the wrong position in the seat and not properly fastened seat belts, if the airbag and seat belt pretensioner are deployed, they can be seriously injured, and possibly fatal. Therefore, follow these guidelines:
- A) Before driving, set the driver's seat to the rearmost position in which you can fully control the car.
- b) Move the front passenger seat to the rearmost position before driving.
- V) When seated with the seat belts correctly worn, the driver and front passenger must be in contact with the seat back in an upright position.
- G) Do not lean too low over the steering wheel or instrument panel while the vehicle is moving. Do not lean or rest your feet on the instrument panel.
- d) Do not attach any decorations, badges, etc. to the steering wheel pad; do not attach or place any accessories near the windshield; Do not place objects or your pets on the instrument panel or against the instrument panel or steering wheel pad that contains the airbags. They can prevent the airbag from deploying or cause serious injury or death as they are thrown back by the force of the deploying airbags. Moreover, the driver and front passenger should not hold things on their hands or on their knees.
- e) Babies and small children should not be in the vehicle outside of restraints (child seats), as well as on the hands or knees of adults. Babies and children who are not properly seated or fastened can be seriously injured when airbags deploy.
- and) Do not let your child get up and kneel in the front seat. Do not hold the child on your lap or in your arms. The airbag inflates with considerable speed and force; the child could be seriously injured.
4. An infant or child who is too small to use a seat belt must be in a special child seat. In addition, it is desirable that infants and children are only in the back seat of the vehicle and are securely restrained. The back seat is the safest for babies and children. If a special child seat is installed on the front seat of the car, then it must be located facing the direction of travel, and the car seat must be moved and fixed in the rearmost position.
Attention:
- Never install a rear-facing child seat in the front seat as the rapid inflation force of the airbag could result in death or serious injury to the child.
- Vehicles equipped with a front passenger airbag have the following warning label.
5. Do not modify, remove, strike or open any components such as the steering wheel pad, steering wheel. steering column cover, front passenger airbag cover or SRS sensor unit. Doing so could cause the airbag to deploy unexpectedly or damage the SRS system.
