1. Liquid refrigerant R–134a with a high content of volatile substances. Contact with skin may result in frostbite, so protective gloves must be worn when working with the refrigerant.
2. As a standard protective measure when working with refrigerant, it is necessary to use goggles to protect the eyes. If refrigerant comes into contact with clothing or protective equipment, immediately wash the affected area with plenty of water.
3. Liquid refrigerant R–134a is stored in containers (cylinders). Store the refrigerant cylinder at a temperature not exceeding 52°C.
4. Use an electronic sensor to check the air conditioning system for leaks. Please note that R-134a refrigerant decomposes upon contact with flame, releasing a highly toxic gas.
5. Use only the recommended oil to lubricate the air conditioning system components, otherwise the system may fail.
6. PAG grease intensively absorbs moisture from the atmospheric air, therefore the following precautions must be observed:
- when disconnecting air conditioning system components, immediately close the connections with appropriate caps to prevent moisture from entering the system;
- when installing new air conditioning components, remove protective covers from them immediately before installation;
- connect air conditioning system pipes and hoses as quickly as possible to reduce moisture entering the system;
- use air conditioning lubricant only from a sealed container.
7. If the air conditioning system is accidentally discharged, ventilate the work area before servicing the system.
