Cardan shaft — checking the technical condition (Hyundai Tucson JM)

1. Install a dial indicator. Align the indicator needle with the center of the cardan shaft.

2. Slowly turn the cardan shaft. Measure the runout. The maximum permissible value of the cardan shaft runout is 0.3 mm.



3. If the runout value exceeds the permissible value, the cardan shaft must be replaced.
