Rear gearbox — removal (Hyundai Tucson JM)

1. Drain the transmission oil from the final drive housing.

2. Disconnect the propeller shaft.

3. Disconnect the drive shafts.

4. Jack up (B) the final drive assembly (A).

4. Jack up (B) the final drive assembly…

5. Disconnect the plug from the final drive housing.

6. Loosen the bolts (A) securing the final drive (B) to the subframe. Remove the final drive.

7. Loosen the bolts (A) securing the crankcase cover (B), then remove the cover.
