Rear door locking (child protection)

Your Hyundai vehicle is equipped with a rear door lock (child protection). When the lock levers are in the locked position, the rear doors cannot be opened from inside the vehicle. It is recommended that you use the rear door lock, especially when small children are in the rear seat.

To prevent the rear doors from being opened from inside the vehicle, move the door lock lever to the "" and close the door. To return to normal door lock operation, move the door lock lever to the position opposite to the "".

To open the rear door when the lock lever is in the "locked" position, use the outside door handle.

Central door locking system

Central door locking system

The central door locking is activated by pressing the driver's door lock switch towards the front or rear of the vehicle. If any door is open when the switch is pressed, it will be locked after it is closed.

Note:
  • When you press the central door lock switch towards the rear of the car, all doors will be unlocked. When you press the central door lock switch towards the front of the car, all doors will be locked.
  • When the door is unlocked, the red mark on the end of the button and the "LOCK" sign on the handle become visible.
  • The central door locking system is activated when the key is turned in the door lock (for vehicles with an anti-theft alarm system: driver's and front passenger's doors, for vehicles without an anti-theft alarm system: driver's doors only) towards the front or rear of the vehicle.
