Rear gearbox — installation (Hyundai Tucson JM)

1. Apply sealant, then install the crankcase cover (B) and tighten the mounting bolts (A). The tightening torque of the cover mounting bolts is 40-50 Nm.



2. Using the jack (B), install the final drive assembly (A) on the subframe.



3. Tighten the bolts (A) securing the main gear (B) to the subframe. The tightening torque of the bolts is 90-120 Nm.



4. Connect the clutch control sensor plug (A) to the final drive housing.





5. Install the cardan shaft.

6. Install the drive shafts.

7. Fill with transmission oil (GL-5, 80W / SAE 90; 0.75-0.80 l) into the main gear housing.
