Water pump
1. Drain the coolant from the system.
2. Remove the accessory drive belt.
3. Remove the camshaft drive belt.
4. Remove the intermediate pulley of the drive belt.
5. Unscrew 4 bolts and remove the water pump drive pulley.
6. Loosen 2 bolts (C) and remove the generator bracket.
7. Remove the water pump (B) and gasket.

Thermostat
Note: Removing the thermostat from the cooling system will adversely affect engine performance because the efficiency of the cooling system will be reduced. Removing the thermostat is not recommended, even if the engine is overheating.
1. Drain the coolant so that its level is at or below the thermostat level.
2. Remove the inlet manifold (A), gasket and thermostat.
