1. Drain the coolant from the system.

2. Remove the drive belt.

3. Remove the rear drive belt cover (A).

3. Remove the rear drive belt cover (A).


4. Loosen four bolts (one bolt A and three bolts B). Remove the water pump (A) with the gasket (B).

5. Inspect, clean and, if necessary, restore the contact surface of the engine cylinder block.

6. Install the water pump with a new gasket in the reverse order of removal.

Tightening torques during installation:
  • Rear drive belt cover mounting bolts: 7.8-11.8 Nm
  • Water Pump Bolt A: 48-52 Nm
  • Water pump bolt B: 10-12 Nm

7. Fill the system with coolant.

8. Start the engine and check the cooling system for leaks.
