Water pump
1. Install the water pump (B) and a new gasket. Tighten the 3 bolts to 20-27 Nm.
2. Install the generator bracket (A) and secure it with two bolts (C).
3. Tighten 4 bolts and install the water pump drive pulley.
4. Install the drive belt intermediate pulley.
5. Install the camshaft drive belt.
6. Install the accessory drive belt.
7. Fill the system with coolant.
8. Start the engine and check the cooling system for leaks.
9. Recheck the coolant level.
Thermostat
1. Check that the thermostat valve flange is seated correctly in the thermostat housing socket. If the thermostat is not installed correctly, its lower part will touch the rib inside the supply pipe, which will cause the thermostat to malfunction.
2. Install a new gasket (A) on the thermostat (B).
3. Install the inlet manifold (A) with a new gasket. Tighten the bolts to 17-20 Nm.
4. Fill the cooling system.
5. Start the engine and check the cooling system for leaks.
