Roof hatch — technical condition check (Hyundai Tucson JM)

1. Turn on the sunroof servo drive and check the time it takes for the sunroof (A) to open or close. The normal sunroof opening/closing time is 5 seconds.



2. While the servo is running, check the hatch for abnormal noise.

3. Close the hatch completely and check it for water leaks.

4. Check the dimension "E" between the roof (A) and the seal (C) of the glass (B). The normal value of the dimension "E" is: 0-1.4 mm for the front part and 1.0-1.4 mm for the rear part.



5. If the size value does not correspond to the normal value, it is necessary to loosen the adjusting screws (A), then adjust the height of the hatch and tighten the adjusting screws with a tightening torque of 2-4 Nm.



6. Check the overlap of the hatch seal (A) with the roof (B). The normal overlap is 1.1 mm.
