Checking the technical condition
Spark test
1. Disconnect connectors (A) ignition coils.
2. Remove ignition coils (A).
3. Using a spark plug wrench, remove the spark plug.
4. Connect the spark plug to the ignition coil.
5. Close the spark plug to «mass» engine.
6. Check for a spark while cranking the engine.
Note: Do not crank the engine for more than 5 -10 seconds.
7. Check all spark plugs.
8. Using a spark plug wrench, screw in the spark plug.
9. Install the ignition coil.
10. Connect the ignition coil connector.
Checking the spark plug
1. Disconnect connectors (A) ignition coils.
2. Remove ignition coils (A).
3. Using a spark plug wrench, remove the spark plug.
Attention. Be careful not to let foreign objects or dirt get into the spark plug hole.
4. Check the electrodes (A) and ceramic insulator (IN).
5. Check clearance (A) between electrodes.
Note:
Standard value:
- Unleaded fuel: 1.0-1.1 mm.
- Leaded fuel: 0.8-0.9 mm.
Checking the ignition coil
Measure the primary winding resistance between terminals (+) And (-).
Note: Standard value: 0.62Ω±10%.
