Checking the technical condition
Spark test
1. Disconnect the ignition coil connectors (A).

2. Remove the ignition coils (A).

3. Using a spark plug wrench, remove the spark plug.
4. Connect the spark plug to the ignition coil.
5. Short the spark plug to engine ground.

6. Check for spark when cranking the engine.
Note: Do not crank the engine for more than 5-10 seconds.
7. Check all spark plugs.
8. Using a spark plug wrench, screw in the spark plug.
9. Install the ignition coil.
10. Connect the ignition coil connector.
Checking the spark plug
1. Disconnect the ignition coil connectors (A).

2. Remove the ignition coils (A).

3. Using a spark plug wrench, remove the spark plug.
Caution: Be careful not to allow foreign objects or dirt to enter the spark plug hole.
4. Check the electrodes (A) and ceramic insulator (B).

5. Check the gap (A) between the electrodes.
Note:
Default value:
- Unleaded fuel: 1.0-1.1 mm.
- Leaded fuel: 0.8-0.9 mm.

Checking the ignition coil
Measure the resistance of the primary winding between terminals (+) and (-).
Note: Standard value: 0.62 ohm ±10%.
