Installing the oil pump of the D4EA engine (Hyundai Tucson JM)

1. Install the oil pump housing on the cylinder block and tighten the mounting bolts. The tightening torque of the mounting bolts is 20-27 Nm.

Note: Apply Loctite 5900, Driebond 5105 or Hyloiwar 101 sealant.

2. Pour engine oil into the cavity under the oil radiator (approximately 50 cm³).

3. Install the oil radiator and pipes as an assembly, then tighten the oil filter nipple. Tightening torque 48-52 Nm.

Note: Apply SAE 20w oil to the O-ring before installing the oil cooler.

4. Install and tighten the oil filter. Tightening torque 34-36 Nm.

5. Install the oil receiver (A).



6. Install the oil pan. Tightening torque 10-12 Nm.

7. Install the crankshaft gear and tighten the bolt. The bolt tightening torque is 185-195 Nm.



8. Install the rear timing belt cover. Tightening torque of the mounting bolts is 8-12 Nm.

9. Install the belt tensioner. Tightening torque of the mounting bolts is 50-55 Nm.

10. Install the timing belt.

11. Install the drive belt pulley. Tightening torque of the mounting bolts is 30-34 Nm.
